Florian Schütz at Singapore Cyber Week

At Singapore Cyber Week, held from 12 to 15 October, Florian Schütz and the Swiss delegation exchanged views with various international partners from industry, business representatives and government.

The meetings focused on strengthening existing relationships, as well as discussions regarding a joint approach to AI security, strengthening global resilience and aligning with international processes and formats in the field of cybersecurity. These outcomes are also intended to highlight Switzerland’s position in this field, particularly with regard to the key topics at the AI Summit in Geneva in June 2027, and to inform the Summit.

Among other things, Florian Schütz took part in a panel entitled ‘Securing Agentic AI in Robotics: Bridging Autonomous Decision-Making with Cyber-Physical Safety’, which addressed specific key themes from the EU Cyber Week in Dublin, Ireland. This focused in particular on securing autonomous systems and supply chains, maintaining the interoperability of such systems, and the need for international cooperation in standard-setting to counter further regulatory fragmentation.

Other key areas included the annual meeting of the member states of the Counter Ransomware Initiative, participation in the session organised by the Geneva Dialogue on responsibilities at the intersection of cyber security and critical infrastructure, as well as participation in a panel on regulatory challenges and a bilateral exchange with the US Chamber of Commerce.

Last week’s EU Cyber Week in Ireland and Singapore Cyber Week once again underlined the importance of international dialogue for Swiss cyber security policy. Issues such as the responsible use of artificial intelligence and questions of digital sovereignty are also relevant to the national context and provide important points of reference for the work of the NCSC.
